Key points for Year 6

PE is on a Monday and Friday.

Homework : MONDAY – Spellings are given on a Monday to practice during the week and brought back in the following Monday for a test.

TUESDAY – Maths homework is given today and due in on THURSDAY

THURSDAY – Literacy homework is given today and due in on MONDAY

Homework needs to be handed in or children will lose a break-time. If there is a special reason why children have not completed their homework, a note should be brought in from home.

Leading up to Easter Year Six are concentrating on SATs revision and related lessons. There are various ‘booster’ groups to help the children. Along side this they will also study French, PSHCE, RE and PE.

Maths –revision for SATs followed by maths investigation using Maths everyday,  etc.
Literacy – Revision for SATs followed by Butlins unit of work (persuasive writing, recount, instructions etc)
Geography - Who are Britain's National Parks for? (continued from last term)
Science – Living things and their habitats
Music – Music & me. 
Art – A sense of place (Landscapes)
R.E. – Islam - What is the best way for a Muslim to follow God?
PSHE – Dreams and Goals
PE - Athletics & cricket
