AUTUMN TERM
Tokes Farm Visits
Throughout the year the children are visiting Tokes farm to learn about 'A Year on the Farm’, focusing on seasonal farming activities or driven by a specific curriculum topic such as Science, Geography, Maths or English.
Science
In science this term, the children have been learning about teeth. They had lots fun using disclosing tablets and cleaning their teeth.
Spring Term
Music
We have had lots of fun learning to play the flute.
English
We created our own role play of the story Beowulf. Each member of the class took on the role of a character and retold the story. What brilliant actors and actresses we have!
PE
Year 4 enjoyed a Power Up session run by Mr Faulkner.
Topic
Year 4 enjoyed a live lesson with Steve Backshall focusing on his work in the polar regions. They were very excited and loved listening to his stories and seeing clips of his research.
Year 4 Sustainability Project
This term year 4 have worked hard creating posters, pledges, music videos and letters in order to show their own contributions to saving the planet. They have been invited to take part in a community litter pick as well as making sure we turning of lights, recycling and taking care of the world around us.
Vodafone Internet Safety Visit
Year 4 had a visit from Warren who works for Vodafone. He taught us all about staying safe online as well as the uses of AI. The children really enjoyed this session and in groups created online books using the app book creator, telling a stories of their own. They had lots of fun exploring this type of digital media.
